Told with Mary Kay Andrew's trademark wit and keen eye for detail, mark your calendars for Save the Date!

My Review

Mary Kay Andrews, is the Queen of the South, with her humor, mischief, and creative characters. Having read all her books, SAVE THE DATE took on a new twist into the world of weddings, flowers, and of course-- all the drama and chaos, which comes along with events, brides, and their crazy mothers, and families—all with an opinion.
As emotions run high—Mary Kay incorporates all the social media with Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter—as Cara, the owner of a small florist shop in Savannah, GA, faces all sorts of problems and challenges. Number one her ruthless gay competitor (even trying to steal her assistant).
Cara, not only unlucky in love, with her most recent divorce, she buys a dog name Poppy to keep her company, and is in debt to her demanding father who is threatening to call in her loan for her business. There are so many unexpected problems, she is having a hard time staying afloat.
Her assistant, Bert, becomes romantically involved with the competition, causing more problems for Cara. Then she meets a good-looking guy who steals her dog by mistake, a hot apartment and shop with a dead landlord, and plenty of nasty clients.
You can expect tidbits of design, and renovations, as the new guy is a pro with renovations of all sorts, helping her with the barns and other venues, as talented Cara pulls off the best weddings in town! Full of drama and humor, a predictable, light and easy beach read. Was not wild about the audiobook narrator, Kathleen McInerney--an influencer, when rating.
