Told in dual timelines with alternating POVs, THE BOYFRIEND is a sinister, twisty tale of obsession, seduction, stalking, darkness, and the monsters hiding behind a perfect facade. This unique storytelling technique adds depth and complexity to the narrative, keeping readers on the edge as they unravel the mystery.
The author grabs you from the Prologue. A guy named Tom is enamored with a little girl, Daisy. They met at age four. This seemingly innocent encounter holds the key to the main storyline, and readers will be intrigued to find out how these characters connect to the unfolding mystery.
With clever use of unreliable narrators and misdirection, Freida McFadden once again proves her mastery of suspense. She pulls off another quick, fun, and entertaining domestic thriller that will leave readers in awe of her storytelling prowess.
