Working together can be DEADLY!

A new psychological thriller from the author of the number one bestseller, The Doctor's Wife

How far would you go to keep a secret at work? Would you kill for it?

I used to enjoy my job. I was good at it and felt fulfilled. I also used to enjoy spending time with the people I worked with. They say you spend more time with your work colleagues than you do with your family members, but that was fine by me because I made two very good friends at the office. I also allowed myself to get a little too close to my boss, but I soon realised that was a mistake.

Unfortunately, it was too late by then, and as my personal and professional lives quickly blurred into one, that was when everything changed.

My workplace became the scene for plotting, revenge and murder, but none of us were cut out for things like that. We were just three colleagues who became friends before things went too far.

But there was no going back from what we did. We could only hope that we would get away with it. But not all of us would.

A gripping, page-turning psychological thriller from the author of The Couple's Revenge, The Passenger and the number one bestseller, The Doctor's Wife

My Review

The king of revenge plots, Daniel Hurst, returns following The Couple's Revenge with his latest twisty psychological thriller, THE COLLEAGUES.

How far would you go to keep a secret at work? Would you kill for it?

A workplace, Van Kekker Logistics becomes a scene for plotting, revenge, and murder!

A dead former boss and an ex-colleague who allegedly killed him. What was the boss into? Is he hurting women and buying them off? Has he wronged them all? Will they get revenge?

Three work colleagues become friends. They crossed the line. How far will they go to keep their secret?

Bev, Natasha, and Liz are best friends at work. Liz has a relationship with her boss, Edwin van Dekker, even though everyone has warned her about him. There are also financial crimes.

They come up with a plan. The three amigos. Three killers. REVENGE.

Now, will they get away with it?

But then Natasha does not show up one night for drinks. Has her conscience and guilt gotten the better of her? Will she write a note to cast the blame on them?

Who will survive the guilt? Partners in crime or rivals?

Told from Liz's POV from past to present (and fifteen years later), the secrets are unraveled. Are they trapped in a prison of their own making?

After all, you cannot kill a man without there being serious repercussions. Then the text messages. Phillip, the son, knows things. Who will break the bond and turn on one another?

You know this is Daniel Hurst, so we always expect another twist before ending. Will there be more REVENGE and payback?

TRUST NO ONE!

While is not my favorite Hurst book; it is a fun, quick cat-and-mouse popcorn thriller with a not-so-likable cast of characters that do crazy things and make horrible decisions—not the sharpest tools in the shed—if you are going to plan a murder, you need to be more careful, but again, this is DH fiction.

As always, do not take Hurst thrillers too serious, they are short fun chapters that will give you a laugh or two. Every time I see a canal (which is everywhere in Florida) I think of this book!
